One thing that makes this energetic duo so unique is the fact that they don't sound anything like one single artist. . . they sound like many different artists! One listen to saintclay's latest release, Resolved, is like a trip through the past, yet at the same time it is a creative view into the possibilities of modern music production. Songs like "Near You," "The Gardener," and "Goodbye" will take you back to the glory days of the Fab Four. "For So Long," "She's My Woman," and "Where Is True Love" will remind you of when country (rock) *was* cool and bands like the Eagles ruled the airwaves. "We Could Do More" and "Look At Me" have a world/nonwestern touch, and finally, "My Blue Room," "Pain," "Call Me," and "A Moment" are somewhat different altogether. Possible influences for these songs range from Robert Plant to Pink Floyd.
Stretching back to a friendship from age 14, Clay Lee and Gerry Jennings have always enjoyed a common bond - music. Two years ago, after 20 years of family life and "real jobs," the two friends decided to get together and record a few songs for fun. From the start it became obvious that the sessions were evolving into a serious artistic project. The saintclay musical phoenix soon emerged from the ashes of 20 years of forgotten dreams. Now the duo is going strong, and with the completion of Resolved behind them, saintclay has stepped back into the studio to work on their sophomore project. If it's anything like Resolved, it's sure to be a creative and collaborative success!
