Justice For Regina http://www.maria-daines.com/music-71.html
Regina was a rescue dog living in Ribercan shelter in the town of Carcaixent Valencia, Spain. On 29th May 2008, thugs broke into the shelter and Regina was sexually abused, tortured and killed during the attack on the premises. Other dogs were frightened away from the shelter when their quarters were badly damaged but Regina was petrified and too timid to fight back. Shelter volunteers said they had only just begun to gain Regina's trust. We hope this song will help to alert people to the distressing problem of animal cruelty in Spain. This crime has not been investigated by the Spanish police or authorities. Laws must be implemented in Spain to protect stray dogs like Regina from criminals who see them as easy targets. Animal abuse leads to human abuse. The Bright Eyes Society has offered a financial reward to help catch the
person or persons responsible for this terrible crime against an innocent
creature. Download proceeds from this song will be sent to Bright Eyes to
increase the reward and one day may there be for justice for Regina. Download link on Soundclick -
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6704790 May we never forget what happened to this poor, wretched shelter dog. And in Regina's name may protection of voiceless animals be possible in Spain. The central Spanish government must protect animals from sexual predators who defile these innocent creatures simply because they cannot say no. The law is weak and ignores the horrifying cruelty without investigation in most cases. Enough is enough. How many more animals must suffer and die in a pool of blood as Regina did, with nobody to speak up for them? This vile behaviour towards animals is perverted and wrong. Please be aware of the cruelty towards animals in our society today and write to the Spanish authorities denouncing cruelty and politely expressing the need for compassion towards each and every sentient being. This terrible, upsetting story must be the starting point for a better, safer life, for all animals in Spain. Thank you Maria & Paul xx 'Justice For Regina' Regina, how we gonna come to terms with what they did to you? They don't see the beauty in your trusting eyes And I would hurt them back if only I could spare your life Regina, homeless in a world that has so little love They don't see the beauty in your trusting eyes And I would hurt them back if only I could spare your life And I would hurt them back if only I could spare your life Oh, why don't people care? http://www.protectoradecarcaixent.com/ Thank you for speaking out against the terrible, vile cruelty inflicted on poor Regina. It is so sad that a shelter dog was picked on and killed by thugs who have so far not been identified. It is important to find the person or persons responsible for this crime because soon they may turn their anger towards human beings. Animals must be protected by law, this crime must NOT go unaddressed by the Spanish authorities, say NO to cruelty and protect the voiceless. Compassion is essential, people are horrified that a homeless dog whose trust had just been gained by caring staff, was ruined in this way and nobody in authority seems to care. I hope there will be justice for Regina and I also hope people will realise there is a vast amount of animal cruelty in Spain that is not being dealt with, animals are dying in horrific circumstances every day and those guilty of the abuse are not being prosecuted. In Regina's name I hope positive change will come that enables animal protection to be considered important by Spanish people and regarded as a vital part of life that every good citizen can promote and be proud of. Welfare of sentient beings should be actively encouraged so kindness to animals is seen by example, as beneficial to every member of the community and by young and old, therefore children will learn to respect the voiceless and these atrocities may one day cease to occur. EVERY VOICE COUNTS!! Thank you 'Her story will never be forgotten for some of us, she was alive and hopeful. Attila's Battle 28.06.08
