Please meet Maggie.

Maggie and I met about 7 years ago.

See Maggie was tied to a pole in the heart of Newark.

Someone I know called me several times during the day to tell me about this dog.

The story was simple.... she had been tied to a pole since 7 am. animal control was called 4 times they never came for her.

This woman's shift ended at 7pm and the dog was still there.

This woman had friends that were coming in for the next hospital shift and at 9 PM...Maggie was still tied.

PPl were afraid of her. just because she was a pit.  UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

So, I dragged my azz into the truck at 9pm and I went to get her.

She was friendly, relieved, full of Mange and very skinny.

Maggie jumped right up into the truck, stood on the console and give me a big ole kiss.

After vetting a family I had know for 10 or so years was looking to adopt.

This family actually adopted a Boxer from me years before ( the Boxer passed away).

This families adult son was now on his own, newly engaged, just bought a home and was ready for his first dog.

It was love at first sight..... this was her daddy :)

They have since married, had a child.( Conner is her skin brother).

Conner is Maggie's kid..... she adores and watches over him. This pic was taken a few weeks ago.

This makes my heart sing :))

LOOK AT HER SMILING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! liz
