We Won't Stand Down

We Won't Stand Down

by Charlie Finch

For so long, you've all used ignorance
To justify your callous methods.

But we're through accepting that defense,
The time for playing dumb has ended.

You've seen the truth we've shown to you,
And yet, you've not repented;

There's pain in everything you do,
And wounds that must be mended.

Just remember that we won't stand down,
So get angry, get offended.

Our planet needs our help right now,
And we won't leave it unprotected.
