Till All Are Free

by David Dvorak

As if viewing a fortune telling abacus
Counting both good and bad events
~
All must step in
Now that harm is more than norm
~
Stopping all that is cruel & inhumane
We become the voice for the voiceless
~
Humanity's future gone down the drain
Watching even as morals too have gone astray
~
Forced to take the battle to newer grounds
Masked defenders enter the scene
~
Shielding face & identity
From all not sharing their views
~
Views of freedom for the voiceless
& better treatment for those unrestrained
~
These heroes set free
Those marked for torture & painful death
~
Even if only one can be set free
Their lives are left fulfilled
