Living Carousel

Torrid sun

Beating down

On little, broken ponies

Hobbled

Nose to tail

Sun up to sun down

Pony unit walk

Like fixed hands on a clock

Non-stop

Another kid plopped

On top

Tick-tock

Clip-clop

Mechanical

Pony machine

Your master decides

You’re forced to give rides

Your head is tied

You must abide

Heads low, circling

The hours, dwindling

Child after child, seemingly

Unending

Condemning ponies

Suffering

Unrelenting

Pony apparatus

Despondent

Perpetual equine sadness

Little slave hooves

Plod automatic

Habit

Kids want to ride a pony

Parents, can’t you see…

It’s exploitation

It’s cruelty

Human hearts stony

Slave pony

Testimony

Be a voice for ponies.
Help END living carousels
