Divine Intervention Story - Birdman of long beach

The first story that I feel was a Divine Intervention rescue:

In my fenced in area where I set up Dan's Pigeon Rehab. Center for three years. In the lot in front of the rehab. center where hundreds of pigeons came all day long to eat and take baths. There was a pigeon that kept lifting a leg but I could not see anything wrong and it was odd and really bugging me. So I rescued him to ease my mind and see if I could figure out what was going on. Well it was one of the oddest rescues ever and he was the luckiest pigeon in the world to be there where I could rescue him. He had a small fish hook in his throat on the outside of his body and the clear fishing line also was tied to his foot. So every time he cocked his head back his foot came up. I guess that was about a hundred trillion to one for him to end up in my care to rescue him and I am convinced he had some divine help finding me

 .............

The second Divine Intervention story a pigeon showed up and was running around the lot outside my rehab. center with a yellow blow dart through his head and eye. It was one of the darnest things I ever seen. And thank god I was able to rescue him with my small net the size of a tennis racket. I took a gamble when I cut the dart and pulled it out of his head. I knew there was a good chance he might die from internal bleeding right away. It was a miracle and he survived mainly because I had eye medicine and antibiotics because he would of had to of had infection from the dart wound. I think I kept him about a month so I was sure all the infection was gone and his eye was healed before giving him his freedom back

 .............

The third Divine Intervention story was at the Bank of America parking lot by 4th. & Cherry. I went up there quite often to check for pigeons sitting on the foot high ledge behind the bushes because when they have broken legs & wings that was usually where they would go sit. Actually one day I checked on them there I found two pigeons sitting on the ledge with broken wings. Anyway the billboard above where the pigeons would sit on the ledge was about half the size of a normal billboard. I happen to look up and there was a pigeon wedged in behind it that must have lost its balance and got stuck. Of course the chance of the pigeon being alive was a one in a trillion shot. After looking under the billboard for awhile at him I thought I seen him wink. I went over to the next corner behind a liquor store where I rescued many injured pigeons back in the corner there. And conveniently a 2 x 4 was just laying there for me. This truly was divine help. I mean me being one of the few people in the world that actually goes out and looks for injured pigeons to help. And me finding him wedged in behind the billboard what -- are the odds. Anyway with the 2 x 4 I was able to pull the billboard out enough to free him and he flew on top of the Bank of America sign. WOW, absolutely unbelievable : NOTE : If anyone around the Long Beach Ca. area finds a injured pigeon please contact me - animalrescuer131@yahoo.com - I have rescued and doctored over 3,000 pigeons in 8 years and have found it to be my calling and I even do the pigeon rescue for Animal Control. Please look up war pigeons on Google and see how many were decorated war hero's and gave up there life for our freedom. So please consider giving them the respect they deserve.

If anyone would like to make a donation to my rescue work I have PayPal and a donation can be made using my e-mail address. Just 99 cents buys a three pound bag of bird seed I need for my rescue work.

Also my P.O. Box. address is - Dan Lubniewski - P.O.Box - 21422 - Long Beach Ca. 90801 - thank you, more stories to come in the near future.
