Q: Isn't the world/universe evidence of God?

A: Not any more than a rainbow is evidence of leprechauns.

"We're unsure/don't know" should not logically be followed with "therefore God". Why not "therefore Leprechauns"?

Q: Why do atheists deduce there is no God without sound arguments?

A: Atheists don't believe in God(s) due to lack of evidence. Should you present evidence for not believing in Unicorns or Santa? Or is the onus on the one who claims they exist?

or Burden of Proof

Q: Believing in nothing is still believing in something.

A: Atheism is not assertion/claim. It's lack of belief. Off is not a TV channel. Not playing baseball is not a sport.

Q: Why don't you believe in God?

A: Which one? The dictionary definition of God is "a supernatural creator and overseer of the universe." Included in this definition are all deities, goddesses and supernatural beings. Since the beginning of recorded history, which is defined by the invention of writing by the Sumerians around 6,000 years ago, historians have cataloged over 3700 supernatural beings, of which 2870 can be considered deities. So if someone believes in just one god they dont believe in 2,869.

Q: The Bible is Proof of God.

A: Then a Spiderman comic is proof of Spiderman? That's circular logic.

Q: Why are atheists concerned about religion?

A: Religion is not benign. Imagine you had a book, believed to be the word of almighty God that condemns gay people. Is this causal to homophobia? Yes.

And millions of people in Africa are suffering and dying of aids because of the influence of Christianity and lack of protection from STDs.
