A new political party campaigning for a better world for people and
animals will be contesting the Pembrokeshire seats at the Welsh
Assembly elections, it has been revealed.
Animals Count was launched in London last month, partly inspired by
the success of animal rights campaigners from the Party of the Animals
in Holland, who were elected onto the Dutch parliament last November.
The party's manifesto aims to bring an end to intensive farming, end
the live transport of animals to Europe and ban hunting.
The group is to hold a public meeting tomorrow, January 20th, from
3:15pm to 5pm, in Milford Haven's Methodist Church on Priory Road.
...
"First slaves were liberated. Then women and children. Now it is time
to do the same for animals," said party chairman Jasmijn de Boo.
