(US/ga) Animal Activists Protest Outside Of Walmart

SAVANNAH, GA (WSAV) -- Mercy for Animals, an animal rights organization, set up shop outside a Savannah Walmart with a 10-foot tall inflatable pig with wounds in a cage. The display was meant to convey how some Walmart pork suppliers allegedly treat their pigs.

"At two different pork suppliers, we documented these pregnant pigs confined in these filthy metal gestation crates that are so small the animals aren't able to turn around or lie down comfortably for nearly their entire lives," said Phil Letten, Mercy for Animals National Campaign Coordinator.
