From WIKIPEDIA:
"An adenoma is a benign tumor of glandular
origin...over time they may progress to become malignant, at which point
they are called adeno-carcinomas. Even while benign, they have the potential
to cause serious health complications by compressing other structures and by
producing large amounts of hormones..."
The January 15, 2013 issue of
the International Journal of cancer incriminates red and processed meat
intake with pre-growth incidence of colon cancer.
"Increased intake
of red and processed meat is associated with significantly increased risk of
Colorectal Adenomas."
