Around 30 activists took part in the latest London protests against
fashion chain Joseph on Saturday October 15th. We split into two groups and went
to two separate Joseph shops.
At 11.30am a demo began at Joseph's shop in St Johns Wood (21 St. John's Wood
High St, London, NW8 7NG, Tel: 020 7722 5883) where lots of leaflets were given
out, and many members of the public showed their support.
At the same time another group were holding a protest at Joseph's shop in
Knightsbridge (16 Sloane Street, London, SW1 9LQ, Tel: 020 7235 1991). Again we
had a great response, and the shop was almost empty the two hours we were there,
as shoppers heeded our call to boycott cruelty.
This group later went just around the corner to hold a protest at Harrods
department store, which as well as being the only department store selling real
fur, contains two separate Joseph departments. (see

Later both groups of protesters met up at Joseph's main shop in Bond
St, where there was a lively and colourful protest which lasted over 4 hours in

Another very successful day, but Joseph Ltd has still failed to reply to our
call to justify its involvement in the bloody fur trade. The campaign will
continue until Joseph comes into line with public opinion stops the sale of all
animal fur.
Please show your support and contact Joseph Ltd. Ask them to take the
compassionate decision to stop the sale of fur in all their outlets.
