Dauphin County gun club faces 60 counts of animal cruelty from pigeon shoot
A northern Dauphin County sportsmen's club is facing 60 counts of animal cruelty and the man humane society officers say supplied the club with birds for a live pigeon shoot in June is also facing charges.
Johnna Seeton, a court-appointed animal cruelty officer in Dauphin County, filed the charges Wednesday with District Judge Rebecca Margerum in Elizabethville against the Erdmans Sportsmen's Association, located on Erdman's Road in Lykens Township, between Gratz and Klingerstown.
Seeton also charged Don Bailey, no age given, of Bethel. Bailey faces 21 counts. Seeton said he is seen in videotapes taken during the club's June 6 pigeon shoot delivering crates of live pigeons, many of which were treated inhumanely, Seeton charges.
