"On 11/4/04 the ALF attacked the Huntington - Long Island home of Charles Ryan, JD, PhD, Executive Director, Chief Patent Counsel, Forest Laboratories. They left his BMW a red painted mess and the letters ALF everywhere. A fence around the block was painted to read - Charles Ryan Kills Kids and Puppies. This refers to Forest's negligence in developing anti-depressants which have been linked to suicide in young people, and their use of HLS puppy killers as a CRO to test their products. The spirit of Barry Horne lives on today in the ALF. This week take actions that show that Barry's death was not in vain. We will never forget you. ALF"

Reported by the ALF SG Sweden:

"Actions against fur shops have been the focus by Swedish ALF as it remembers Barry Horne this week. 5 actions in just 5 days against 6 leather and fur shops in south Sweden. After reading in the news papers that the owner of Pälskonfektion in now sleeping in his store to prevent sabotage, the ALF changed it's tactics and instead of being loud, they poured paint all over the entrances and painted slogans on the walls. The media reports that the owner woke up in the morning and after seeing what had been done to his shop while he was sleeping, he went home to find graffiti all over his neighborhood too. "Warning! Animal abuser in your area!" and other slogans had been left by the ALF. Actions have been reported from Malmö, Ystad and Visby"

On the eve of Barry Horne's anniversary of his death from a hunger strike he did back in 2001 we decided even though we knew nothing about liberating animals we would not allow this day to go by without doing something for animal liberation. Three very novice people went out to find some animals to liberate. It wasn't hard to do - we soon found some chicken sheds and that was it. We bungled a few times, made loads of noise but we still managed to liberate nine chickens from their deaths in darkness, which is how they live. We had 8 chickens and were about to leave. All the chickens were running away from us but as I was closing the door to their hellhole one little chicken came running towards me. I knew she did not want to be left there. I picked her up and she was calm and silent in my arms. I knew I couldn't leave her so she went in the box and off we went. We left them a message that the ALF had been there and that this was for Barry Horne. So nine beautiful chickens were liberated by the newly formed ALF Militants Group. We will be back for more who ever you are. "
