On the occasion of the World Consumer Rights Day on 15 March, Daelyn Fortney
interviewed Renato Pichler, Founder and Coordinator of the European V-Label. He
explained the scheme and informed about ways of how to avoid hidden meat

Feeding a fast-growing global population in the face of climate change and
stagnant funding for food aid and farm research will require a fundamental
revamp of agriculture, agricultural experts said(...) Reversing the problems, he
and others said, will require a diverse host of changes, such as curbing
rich-world agricultural subsidies...

Note: Even though there is talk everywhere about the hunger drama the world is
facing, there is no recommendation whatsoever to reduce animal farming so that
more resources become available for starving people.
4. Meat bosses: Getting hot under their collars?
-USA: What is "unconscionable and an insensitive slap in the face" to livestock
farmers and meat-eating residents?" Answer, according to the Michigan Farm
Bureau: The proclamation of Meatout Day (20 March) in Michigan by Gov. Jennifer
Granholm. Why such a public outburst? After all, an almighty US meat industry
can't be afraid of the rolling vegetarian wave?
