Seven months ago Simara Rose visited The California Science
Center
and was horrified to discover live animals enclosed in exhibits
frogs, baby chicks and a lone rat in a plastic box
with children banging on the box.
She wrote letters to the board of
directors, Shannon Keith (a well known animal lib
lawyer) wrote letters, Simara had thousands of supporters
write letters, PETA had an action alert on the
situation and still there is no progress ..please help..
Here is the letter Simara wrote to one of the board of
directors:

Mr. Miranda
We visited your museum on February 17th 2006. We were
shocked to discover your use of live animals in your exhibitions. We found a live rat all alone imprisoned
in a cage while children continually pounded on his
plastic cubicle.
We saw live frogs that belonged in a lake or the woods
and baby chicks imprisoned in a plastic cubicle
without their parents. These animals endure loneliness,
boredom, anxiety, confusion and depression.
This sir, is no way to teach about life-by kidnapping
it, by forcing it to live out of it's natural habitat,
by keeping it away from it's natural way and from
fellow animals of their own kind. Put yourself in their
position.. how would you feel? Only hardened criminals
deserve to be jailed.
I request that you release all live animals to local
animal rescues and no longer use live animals in your
museum. Instead please use films, photographs and
literature.
Please let the world know that you do care about
animals by not using live animals in your museum. I
await your reply.
Regards
Simara Rose
