"Tests on animals have led to around 100 drugs being thought potentially useful for stroke; not one has proved effective in humans. You don't need to be a balaclava-wearing animal rights activist to question the value of animal studies in this area of medical research."

PLEASE REPOST!!!

Just a quick note to remind you all that the prison Andy is in is located in Butner, North Carolina. Butner is over 600 miles away from most of Andy's friends and family!!! At this time of year, surrounding the holidays, most of us are lucky enough to spend a lot of time with the people we love. This year, Andy won't be so lucky, so PLEASE take the time to write him a letter and let him know we are all still out here supporting him!!!

IMPORTANT: Remember that all prison mail is read by the authorities, so think before you write. Mail to prison facilities must always include a return address and the full name of the sender. It is advised that you also put your return address on the letter itself as prisoners do not always get the envelopes with their letters. You cannot use any glitter pens, stickers or fancy decoration. You can send photographs, but no Polaroid's. Printed sheets from the computer are also allowed. Just remember that seemingly harmless discussion of any political prisoners case could cause them troubles, so please be smart about it.

We encourage you to also write Andy's co-defendants and these other political prisoners desperately in need of our support!!!
