Animal rights activists paid a visit to the neighborhood of Ed Boks in Los Angeles to educate the neighbors about how the current General Manager of the six City shelters slaughters tens of thousands of healthy, treatable and adoptable cats, dogs, kittens, puppies and bunnies without making any effort to find caring homes for them.

He was fired and asked to resign from the same position in both New York City and Maricopa County, AZ before he ended up in Los Angeles because Mayor Villaraigosa thought his appointment would secure a multiple-million-dollar gubernatorial campaign contribution from then-friend of Boks - and purported billionaire - Gary Michelson

Boks refuses to implement the proven policies, procedures, protocols and programs of No Kill Solutions while instead, "cooking the books" by factoring out of the "euth" stats in every conceivable category from neonates, ferals, owner surrenders, alleged "aggressives," and supposedly "sick" or "injured". Ed Boks told CNN his killing rate is up 31% - and he's blaming it on the subprime mortgage crisis. He's always got every excuse in the book while he collects $165,000 a year to do nothing but booze, blog, chase the babes - oh yeah, and kill animals!

Most of the neighbors emerged with their companion dogs and puppies to question activists about what's going on in the shelters and to express support. They were advised to keep their pets "on a short leash" while walking them in Ed Boks' neighborhood!
