Retail giants go anti-fur

THREE high street retailers signed up to an anti-fur initiative yesterday.

Topshop, Marks & Spencer and the Co-operative Group pledged not to sell any real fur under the scheme started by Respect for Animals.

The campaign group now wants other UK high street chains to support the Fur Free Retailers project.

Stores in nine other countries have also signed up. Members must ban all fur items from their shops and agree to turn away business connected with the fur trade.
