Australia's most famous chefs will fight animal cruelty

SOME of Australia's most famous chefs have united to support a confronting campaign warning about the cruelty of factory animal farming.

Neil Perry, Robert Marchetti and Shannon Bennett are among those who have volunteered their time for the Animals Australia campaign which will air on television nationally from Tuesday.

The campaign highlights the depressing conditions that Australian factory sows and hens face, and urges consumers to choose better-quality free-range meats or avoid eating meat from animals raised in sub-optimal conditions.
