Aussie hog producers get undercover video treatment

A hog farm and slaughter facility near Canberra, Australia has been singled out in undercover footage that documents the abuse of piglets at Wally's Piggery. A group called Animal Liberation has posted video of employees throwing the piglets and hitting them with a sledgehammer, leaving their injuries untreated, according to local media reports.

The owner has not been charged, but is being investigated. Meanwhile, the industry group Australian Pork Limited says the processor's owner was listed as closed and the territory's government says the operation was not licensed to slaughter pigs for human consumption, according to local media.
